BAR vs JAM Tips, Stats & Team for Today Match Prediction

Match:  BAR vs JAM CPL T20 Prediction
Time:     01 September, 04:30 AM (IST)

 Series:   CPL T20 Match
Venue:   Warner Park – Basseterre, Saint Kitts And Nevis

 Info:

  • Glenn Phillips top scored with an unbeaten 56 from 46 balls in Saturday’s game between the teams. He is a good bet for Barbados Royals’ highest run scorer in this match. Raymon Reifer took 3-31 with his left-arm medium fast bowling and is our recommendation for Royals’ top wicket taker against Jamaica Tallawahs.
  • Shamarh Brooks top scored for Jamaica Tallawahs with 47 from 45 balls. He is our tip for their highest run scorer against Barbados Royals. With the ball, Veersammy Permaul starred with 2-15 from 4 overs. The left-arm spinner is worth backing as Tallawahs’ top wicket taker in this game.
  • We predict the batting of Glenn Phillips and Shamarh Brooks will be key on both sides. Our expectation is that Phillips will hit the higher score and take the player of the match award.

 Live Streaming:

Live Streaming: The match can be watched live on Sky Cricket in the UK. Star Sports will show live coverage in India with Fox Sports having the rights in Australia. Willow TV show the games in USA.

 Weather & Pitch Report:

⛅ Weather:

A few clouds with a high of 28 degrees in Basseterre.

🏟️ Pitch:
A par score in the tournament is around 160-165 with anything above that giving a very good chance of victory. Spin bowlers are starting to have a larger effect on the outcome of games as the tournament progresses.

 Toss Prediction:

Barbados Royals won the toss and chose to bat first on Saturday. Whoever wins the toss, we expect to see the Royals batting first in this match.

 Team News:

 BAR Team News:

After finally getting a win, there is no pressure on Jason Holder to change the makeup of his side. The batting order is fairly fluent with the likes of Kyle Mayers and Glenn Phillips interchangeable near the top of the order. We saw a disciplined bowling performance on Saturday and expect the same bowlers to feature in this match.

 JAM Team News:

After hitting 255-5 against St Lucia Kings in their opening game, it was always going to be an uphill struggle for the Tallawahs to repeat those batting heroics in this match. However, they have plenty of big hitters and they will no doubt post another very large score at some point in the tournament.

 ℹ️ Match Finished

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: BAR vs JAM CPL T20 Match Fantasy Team
This should be an excellent game after Saturday’s match finished with only a 5-run victory margin for Barbados Royals. We expect Jamaica Tallawahs to fight back with a batting display more in sync with their big total from the opening game. Our prediction is a close game with the Tallawahs winning the match.

 BAR Key Players:

 Glenn Phillips:

The big hitting New Zealand batsman setup the win with his controlled 56 not-out on Saturday. The Royals may want him to face more than 46 balls in this match.

 Shai Hope:

The keeper-batsman has 71 runs in the CPL so far this year and is due a big score. He is also a very capable wicket-keeper.

 Raymon Reifer:

The all-rounder hit 31 not-out from 20 balls before taking 3-31 with the ball. More performances like that could see Reifer in a late push for the West Indies T20 World Cup squad.

 JAM Key Players:

 Andre Russell:

The world-class all-rounder followed up his 14-ball unbeaten half-century on Thursday with a golden duck on Saturday. There are plenty more high scores for Russell to come in the 2021 CPL.

 Shamarh Brooks:

The experienced batter was the only Tallawahs’ player to go beyond 30 in Saturday’s match. His side will need another significant contribution if they are to be competitive in this match.

 Veersammy Permaul:

The left-arm spinner kept the runs down and took wickets in his 2-15 on Saturday. Particularly impressive as many spinners have struggled on the wicket so far in the tournament.

 Team Forms:

 BAR Team Form:

  • One win does not mean that they are now the form side of the competition but there should be plenty of confidence in the team after Saturday’s victory in CPL 2021.

 JAM Team Form:

  • With so much big hitting in the side, perhaps we should expect some inconsistency from the Tallawahs. The memory of the 255-5 is still fresh and will be in the back of the mind of all opponents.

 SQUAD:

 KittsBarbados Royals

Chris Morris, Jason Holder, Thisara Perera, Mohammad Amir, Johnson Charles, Shai Hope, Oshane Thomas, Kyle Mayers, Hayden Walsh, Azam Khan, Raymon Reifer, Justin Greaves, Ashley Nurse, Shafiqullah Ghafari, Nyeem Young, Joshua Bishop, Smit Patel.

 Jamaica Tallawahs
Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Carlos Brathwaite, Rovman Powell, Haider Ali, Chadwick Walton, Fidel Edwards, Qais Ahmad, Jason Mohammed, Migael Pretorius, Kennar Lewis, Ibrahim Zadran, Veerasammy Permaul, Joshua James, Kirk McKenzie, Ryan Persaud, Abhijai Mansingh.

 ℹ️ Match Finished

Toss:

 Top Team Batsmens:

We are backing Glenn Phillips, Shai Hope and Kyle Mayers with the bat for Barbados Royals. Phillips has found his form once again in the CPL.

Andre Russell, Haider Ali and Shamarh Brooks are our batting tips for Jamaica Tallawahs. Brooks was the only Tallawah batter to get to grips with the Royals’ attack on Saturday.

 Top Team Bowlers:

Oshane Thomas, Mohammad Amir and Raymon Reifer are the top bowlers for Barbados Royals. Reifer impressed with the bat but then performed even better with the ball in Saturday’s clash.

For Jamaica Tallawahs, we recommend Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite and Veersammy Permaul. They have a strong attack but Permaul was the standout performer in the defeat to Barbados Royals
