CSK vs MI Tips, Stats & Team for Today Match Prediction

Match:  CSK vs MI IPL T20 Match Prediction
Time:     19 September, 07:30 PM (IST)

 Series:   IPL T20 Match
Venue:   Dubai Cricket Stadium – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

 Info:

  • Chennai Super Kings leading run scorer earlier in the tournament was South Africa’s Faf du Plessis who hit 4 half-centuries in 7 innings. He is our tip for CSK’s highest run scorer in this game. Deepak Chahar has 8 wickets in the tournament and we are backing the spinner to be their top wicket taker against Mumbai Indians.
  • Rohit Sharma had hit 29 boundaries in the 2021 IPL before it was postponed. He is a solid bet for Mumbai Indians’ highest run scorer against CSK. Rahul Chahar took 11 wickets earlier in the competition and is worth backing as their top wicket taker in this match.
  • We expect the big hitters to enjoy the conditions in Dubai and our recommendation for the Player of The Match Award is Rohit Sharma.

 Live Streaming:

Live Streaming: The match can be watched live on Star Sports in India, Sky Cricket in the UK and Willow TV in the USA.

 Weather & Pitch Report:

⛅ Weather:

Sunny with a high of 36 degrees for the return of the IPL.

🏟️ Pitch:
We expect a competitive score to be around the 165-170 mark in Dubai. Expect the ball to travel at pace to the boundary with the spinners and slow bowlers able to keep a lid on the run-rate.

scorepitcht20

 Toss Prediction:

We expect the captains to choose to field first before unleashing their batsmen with a target and required run-rate to hand.

 Team News:

 CSK Team News:

Compared to some of the other franchise sides, Chennai Super Kings will field a very similar team to what we saw back in April and May in India. They already have 10 points on the board and have a 4 point cushion from 5th placed Rajasthan Royals.

Faf du Plessis has picked up a groin injury a few days back while playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). It was learnt that Du Plessis could be fit to be ready in time for CSK’s opening match against Mumbai Indians on Sundaay.
CSK though will miss the service of Sam Curran as their star England allrounder is yet to land in Dubai. With Curran set to undergo a quarantine of six days, he is uncertain to plau against Mumbai.

 MI Team News:

The current holders of the IPL have also not been too badly affected by the 4 month delay. They will not be at full strength immediately with Quinton de Kock currently playing for South Africa in Sri Lanka. However, they will be one of the favourites for the tournament.

Who will win today match: CSK vs MI IPL T20 Match Fantasy Team
This is a perfect match to get the IPL back underway with two teams in strong form and full of internationals playing at the top of their game. We expect this to be a particularly close match but are backing Mumbai Indians to sneak a win and go level on points with CSK.

 CSK Key Players:

 Faf du Plessis:

The former South Africa international was in electric form in the tournament earlier in the year with a top score of 95 not-out.

 Ravindra Jadeja:

The all-rounder hit 37 runs off the final over from Harshal Patel in April. Jadeja is a top performer with bat and ball for CSK.

 Deepak Chahar:

The spinner brings with him 8 wickets in the 2021 IPL already. His best figures were 4-13 against Punjab Kings.

 MI Key Players:

 Rohit Sharma:

The captain will be high on confidence after hitting his first overseas Test century at The Oval earlier this month.

 Suryakumar Yadav:

The top order batsman received a late call-up to the India Test squad in England but did not make an appearance. He will relish a return to IPL action.

 Jasprit Bumrah:

The pace bowler was surprisingly lacking in potency earlier in the tournament but we expect him to be back at his best in Dubai.

The IPL returns on Sunday evening in Dubai with Chennai Super Kings taking on Mumbai Indians. When the tournament was paused in early May, Chennai Super Kings were in 2nd place, two points behind leaders Delhi Capitals. Holders Mumbai Indians were in 4th, four points from the top. Read on as we preview this match. The game begins at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium at 18:00 local time.
Chennai Super Kings were very impressive in the early stages of the 2021 IPL and will be top of the table if they win their game in hand over Delhi Capitals.
Mumbai Indians never start the IPL in excellent form but are experts at peaking at the right time. They are well placed in 4th and will fancy their chances in this game.

 ℹ️ Match Finished

Toss: CSK won the TOSS & elected to BAT first.

Pitch report:
It is a really hard pitch and the conditions are really hot. It is a good wicket to bat, its green and lush. The pace bowlers picked most of the wickets on this track in 2020. Chasing would be a good option, reckons Kevin Pietersen.
