ENG vs PAK Tips, Stats & Team for Today Match Prediction

Match:  ENG vs PAK T20 Match Prediction
Time:   16 July, 11:00 PM (IST)

 Series:: 1st T20 Match
Venue:  Trent Bridge – Nottingham, England.

 Info:

  • Jonny Bairstow will return to England’s batting line-up. He made 51 from 43 balls in his last IT20 and is a great bet for England’s leading run scorer in this match. David Willey took 3-27 in England’s last IT20 against Sri Lanka in Southampton, he is a reliable option for England’s top wicket taker in this match.
  • Babar Azam returned to form in the final ODI making his highest score in the format. He is a strong tip for Pakistan’s highest run scorer in this clash. With the ball, Haris Rauf took 4-65 in the final ODI and is a consistent wicket taker in IT20s. He is a good choice for Pakistan’s leading wicket taker in this game.
  • England will welcome back Jos Buttler who missed the majority of the Sri Lanka games through injury. He bats at the top of the order and is never far from making runs. Mohammad Rizwan made 74 from 58 balls and took 2 catches in the final ODI. It is a close run thing but we are backing Jos Buttler to be the top wicket-keeper in this match.
 Live Streaming
Live Streaming: The match can be watched live on Sky Cricket in the UK. The Sony Network will show live coverage in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Fox Cricket will show the match in Australia, SuperSport in South Africa.

 Weather & Pitch Report
⛅ Weather:
Highs of 25 degrees at the start of the game with the temperature dipping to the low 20s as the match progresses.
🏟️ Pitch:
This is the first IT20 game at this venue since June 2012. No team has posted a score over 198 in an IT20 at Trent Bridge but that record could be in doubt in this game.
 Toss Prediction
Both captains will prefer to chase in this match. We expect both Eoin Morgan and Babar Azam to insert the opposition after winning the toss.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: ENG vs PAK T20 Fantasy Team
This should be an excellent game with an improving Pakistan side facing some of the best white-ball players England has to offer. We expect it to be a close game with the home side coming out on top and Pakistan struggling with some of the mental scars from the ODI series.

 Team NEWS:

 ENG Team News:
  • The strength in depth of England’s white ball resources was for everyone to see in the ODI series against Pakistan. However, the team they put out for the opening IT20 will be another level up. With the T20 World Cup around the corner, Eoin Morgan will have only Ben Stokes missing from his available first XI.
 PAK Team News:
  • There were plenty of encouraging signs for Pakistan in the final ODI and, in spite of a fresh and more talented England team in the opposition, they should be at their most confident on the tour. They have a strong squad and are in good form in this format.

 ENG Key Players:

 Jonny Bairstow
The Yorkshireman is comfortable in any of the top four places in England’s batting line-up. When he makes double figures, he always scores at a strike-rate above 100 in this format.

 Jos Buttler
the wicket-keeper batsman missed a large part of the games against Sri Lanka and the entire ODI series against Pakistan. He is one of the best hitters in the world and will open the batting for England.

 Chris Jordan
England’s experienced pace bowler has 63 IT20 caps. He is a death bowling specialist and regularly pops up with spectacular catches in the field.

 PAK Key Players:

 Babar Azam
The captain proved all of the doubters wrong at Edgbaston on Tuesday. His score of 158 was his highest in ODI cricket and he comes into this series with his tail up.

 Haris Rauf
The fast bowler had a successful day in Birmingham in the final ODI, but crucially comes into this game with wickets in each of his last 4 IT20s.

 Shaheen Shah Afridi
The left-arm leader of the attack will go on the attack from the first ball in this format. England players often have problems against left-arm bowlers and he will look to exploit this.

 Team Forms:

 ENG Team Form:
  • After the success in the ODIs, big things will be expected from this England team. They return to this format in which they defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 earlier this summer, but Pakistan will be a much tougher opposition.
 PAK Team Form:
  • Pakistan have won 4 of their last 5 IT20s which includes wins over South Africa and Zimbabwe. Facing England at Trent Bridge may well be a different proposition though.

 SQUAD:
 England:

Eoin Morgan (c), Liam Livingstone, Lewis Gregory, Saqib Mahmood, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, Moeen Ali, Tom Curran, David Willey, Jos Buttler, Jake Ball, Chris Jordan, Matt Parkinson and Adil Rashid.
