ENG vs PAK Tips, Stats & Team for Today Match Prediction

Match:  ENG vs PAK T20 Match Prediction
Time:   18 July, 07:00 PM (IST)

 Series:: 2nd T20 Match
Venue:  Headingley Stadium – Leeds, England.

 Info:

  • Liam Livingstone hit 103 from 43 balls to register his first international century and England’s fastest IT20 century. In this form he is a good tip for England’s highest run scorer. With the ball, Tom Curran was the only England player to take 2 wickets and is a reliable choice for England’s leading wicket taker.
  • Babar Azam followed up his 158 in Tuesday’s ODI with 85 in the opening IT20. He is an excellent bet for Pakistan’s highest run scorer. With the ball, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 3-30 including the wickets of two of England’s top three. He is a strong option for Pakistan’s leading wicket taker.
  • With the gloves, Jonny Bairstow took 2 catches and hit 11 with the bat for England. Mohammad Rizwan did not take any catches but hit 63 at the top of the order for Pakistan. We would recommend Mohammad Rizwan as the top wicket-keeper in this match.
 Live Streaming
Live Streaming: The match can be watched live on Sky Cricket in the UK. The Sony Network will show live coverage in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Fox Cricket will show the match in Australia, SuperSport in South Africa.

 Weather & Pitch Report
⛅ Weather:
Mostly sunny with a high of 26 degrees throughout the game on Sunday afternoon in Leeds.
🏟️ Pitch:
This is the first IT20 game to be played at Headingley. Cheered on by passionate fans of both sides, we expect scores of 200+ to be very possible again.
 Toss Prediction
Eoin Morgan always prefers to chase and he will want to insert Pakistan again and see how his bowlers react. We expect Babar Azam to choose to field first also.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: ENG vs PAK T20 Fantasy Team
The opening game of this series was a complete cracker and we expect more of the same under sunny skies in front of a crowd who will be vociferous for both sides. We are predicting large totals for both teams but expect England to come out on top this time to level the series.

 Team NEWS:

 ENG Team News:
  • England are set to make changes throughout this series and it is likely that Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan, both rested from the carnage in Nottingham, will return to the side. Jos Buttler’s calf injury has sufficiently recovered so caretaker head coach Paul Collingwood has confirmed he will come back into the side. That could mean either Dawid Malan or Jonny Bairstow might be given a rest. Jake Ball, who was an unused member of the ODI squad, could be included too.
  • Prior to the opening IT20, Eoin Morgan talked about using some different players and trialing a few new ideas in the run-up to the T20 World Cup. Expect the same players to be selected again in this game to see how they respond to different pressure.
 PAK Team News:
  • Pakistan are likely to chop and change less, particularly as a victory will give them a series win. Azam Khan, given a debut at Trent Bridge, will be given another opportunity to show what he can do with the bat in the middle order while Fakhar Zaman, who batted at number four in the first game will continue in that position with Mohammad Rizwan opening alongside his captain, Babar Azam.
  • After easy wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan earlier in the summer, England will be pleased that they now have to respond. If Liam Livingstone can repeat his batting heroics then another win will not be far off.

 ENG Key Players:

 Jason Roy
The Surrey opener got England’s innings off to a good start with 32 from 13 balls on Friday evening. Roy always takes the attack to the bowler from the first ball.

 Liam Livingstone
After 7 international innings without even a half-century, the Lancastrian announced himself at the top level with the 4th fastest IT20 century of all time on Friday.

 David Willey
England’s medium pace left-arm bowler was the only one on his side to keep his economy rate below 10. He also picked up the crucial wicket of Babar Azam.

 PAK Key Players:

 Babar Azam
Anyone who can follow up a 158 in one format with an 85 in another three days later is clearly at the top of his game. Pakistan’s captain is a class act.

 Mohammad Rizwan
The wicket-keeper batsman played a slightly more restrained innings to Babar Azam at the top of the Pakistan order. He made 63 including 9 boundaries.

 Shaheen Shah Afridi
With the ball, Shaheen’s job is to pick up early wickets before blowing away the tail. On Friday he took the first 2 England wickets before bowling Matt Parkinson to end the game.
