 Info:

  • Opener Tammy Beaumont top scored for England with an unbeaten 87 in the first ODI. She is an excellent option for leading run scorer for England in this match.
  • Sophie Ecclestone took 3-40 in Sunday’s game in Bristol. The spinner is a good tip for England’s leading wicket taker in this game.
  • Captain Mithali Raj top scored for India with 72 in the opening match. She is a good bet for India’s top scorer in this clash.

Live Streaming: The 2nd ODI  match will start at 06:30 PM IST and will be streamed live on Fancode.

 Weather & Pitch Report
⛅ Weather:
The weather forecast predicts a cloudy day with overcast conditions, initially, we may see a few scattered clouds with the sun peeping through. The temperature will be around 15-17°C.
🏟️ Pitch:
The county ground at Taunton is a balanced pitch, it has something for everyone and it offers swing initially and then it gets better for playing through the line kind of shots, while spinners will be in the game once the ball gets a bit older. Overcast conditions may help fast bowlers with some prolonged swing.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: ENG-W vs IND-W ODI Fantasy Team
Although the conditions won’t be identical to Sunday’s game, we expect England’s players to be more accustomed to them than India’s again. We are predicting a closer match but with England coming out on top again.

 Team NEWS:

 ENG-W Team News:
Playing Combination:
  • England Women has the early lead in the 3-match ODI series, they won the first match without any discomfort. The Indian team looked like a team of the 2000s era that played out more than 30 overs in dots. They lacked intent and didn’t score at pace. Skipper Mithali voiced the issue of lack of intent and assured them that it will not be the case in the 2nd match.
  • England, opener Tammy Beaumont scored an unbeaten 87 runs while Sophie Ecclestone took three wickets for them. Nat Sciver chipped in with another half-century
 IND-W Team News:
Playing Combination:
  • The management of the team India looked very unpleased with the way their players went about in the first match, in the era of the modern game and against an opponent like England, they never showed any intent to score big runs, they just wanted to save their wickets and they played a total of 181 dot balls which translates into 30.1 overs of the match.
  • Skipper Mithali Raj was the top-scorer with 76 runs and with the help of some contributions from Poonam Raut and Deepti Sharma, they posted a below-par score of 201 runs in 50 overs, which the English side chased down in just 35 overs

 C & VC Options:

Natalie Sciver
Tammy Beaumont
Sophie Ecclestone
Mithali Raj

 ENG-W Key Players:

 S Ecclestone
S Ecclestone was the standout bowler in the last match returning with figures of 3/40 and bowling beautifully in the middle and death, she will be a good choice for captaincy.

 N Sciver
N Sciver was at her destructive best scoring 74 runs in 74 balls and also bowled pretty well despite going wicketless, she will be an automatic selection and default captaincy choice.

 T Beaumont
T Beaumont continued her good form scoring 87 runs in 87 balls which included 12 fours, she will be keen to put on a show once again.

 A Shrubsole
A Shrubsole bowled a magnificent spell with the ball the last match and returned with figures of 2/33. She will be a good choice to have in this match.

 H Knight
H Knight will once again be the big player, bats at 3, and expect her to come good.

 IND-W Key Players:

 S Mandana
S Mandana struggled badly in the last match scoring just 10 runs in 25 balls which isn’t what we are used to, expect the southpaw to come good in this match.

 Mithali Raj
Mithali Raj was the lone warrior in the last match scoring 72 runs in 108 balls, her strike rate was questionable, and will be interesting to see if she makes any changes in the way she approaches the match. Her ODI record is brilliant averaging 50.

 Jhulan Goswami
Jhulan Goswami was terrific in the last match picking up a wicket, bowls with the new ball and at the death, lots of experience, and a very valuable pick.

 Deepti Sharma
Deepti Sharma will give a lot of points in both the departments, she provides a very good all-round value to the team (30 of 46 in the last match).

 Shafali Verma
Shafali Verma is a very exciting prospect and can be a good differential selection.

 Team Forms:

 ENG-W Team Form:
  • England continued their hot run in the ODI format as they demolished the Indian attack in the first ODI. Riding on the exploits of Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Brunt, the hosts restricted India to a modest total before making a mockery of the run chase. Given the riches and depth they possess in the batting unit, England will look to seal an unassailable lead in the series, although it is easier said than done.
 IND-W Team Form:
  • Although India lacked intent with the bat, they did show glimpses of what they are capable of doing in the 50-over format in the first ODI. The visitors will need the likes of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma to fire at the top of the order as they seek a series-leveling win on Wednesday. Although the Indian bowlers were lackluster in the previous game, they have a well-balanced attack in place to take on England.

 SQUAD:
 England Women:

Heather Knight (c), Fran Wilson, Sophia Dunkley, Katherine Brunt, Nat Sciver, Mady Villiers, Tammy Beaumont, Amy Ellen Jones, Lauren Winfield, Emily Arlott, Kate Cross, Freya Davies, Sophia Ecclestone, Natasha Farrant, Sarah Glenn and Anya Shrubsole..

 India Women:

Mithali Raj (c), Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Punam Raut, Priya Punia, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia, Indrani Roy, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht, Radha Yadav.
