- The captain performed well on Sunday and we expect Jess Jonassen to again be the Brisbane Heat Women’s top wicket taker in this match.
- Beth Mooney was the pick of the Perth Scorchers Women’s top three in the opening game. She hit 4 boundaries and is our tip for their highest run scorer in this fixture.

⛅ Weather:
Unfortunately, there is some rain forecast for afternoon and evening in Hobart. This could be a shortened match.
🏟️ Pitch:
The pitch at the Bellerive Oval has slowed down a wee bit. After a high-scoring affair in the first game, the batters have strained to find their feet. Another low-scoring game seems to be on the cards. Batting second should be the way forward.

Record of chasing teams: Won – 3, Lost – 1, Tied – 1
Team NEWS:
BH-W Team News:
Brisbane Heat Women had a dramatic start to this season’s WBBL, losing to Perth Scorchers Women in a one-over eliminator. Heat won the toss and chose to field with captain Jess Jonassen picking up 3-16 from 4 overs as Perth were restricted to 137-7. In reply, Brisbane Heat were 92-2 in the 12th over, before losing wickets at regular intervals but scrambled 2 runs from the final ball to force the eliminator. However, they suffered two run-outs in the over and could not post a defendable target.
PS-W Team News:
Perth Scorchers Women came out on top in the eliminator against Brisbane Heat Women on Sunday afternoon. Wicket-keeper Beth Mooney top scored with 40 from 37 balls as all of the Perth top three hit sixes. Chloe Piparo also made a useful contribution, 20 not-out from 14 balls at number seven in the batting order. Lilly Mills then played a big part in pulling Perth Scorchers back into the game, taking 3-28 from 4 overs. With run-outs limiting Brisbane in the eliminator, Sophie Devine hit 2 sixes and finished on 13 not-out from 3 balls.

Brisbane Heat Women vs Perth Scorchers Women Prediction
Sunday’s game could not have had a more exciting climax and we would not rule out another one-over eliminator to decide this sequel. Ultimately, Perth Scorchers showed they could hold their nerve at the crucial point and we are predicting them to win this match also
BH-W Key Players:
Jess Jonassen:
Jess Jonassen was impeccable with the ball against Perth Scorchers. She picked up 3 wickets by conceding just 16 runs in her full quota of 4 overs and later scored 18 runs with the bat.
Georgia Redmayne:
Georgia Redmayne is a capable player. She scored 18 runs from 13 balls in the previous match against Perth Scorchers which includes 4 fours.
PS-W Key Players:
Sophie Devine:
Sophie Devine, the New Zealand all-rounder, has been a class act for the Scorchers in the WBBL. In the previous edition of the tournament, she was their second-highest wicket-taker with 460 runs at an average of 51.11 and a strike rate of 126.37. She scored three half-centuries and a century and is expected to make a serious impact with the bat in hand.
Beth Mooney:
Beth Mooney was the top scorer for Perth Scorchers Women in the last game against Brisbane Heat. She played to her strength and scored 40 runs from 37 balls which included 3 fours and a six
Taneale Peschel:
Taneale Peschel was the standout bowler for the Scorchers in the previous edition of the WBBL. In 14 matches, she picked up 13 wickets and her economy rate of 6.13 was the best among her teammates in the T20 league. If the Heat have to do well, they will need to play Peschel with caution and take calculated risks against her.
Marizanne Kapp:
Marizanne Kapp is a deadly prospect with both bat and ball. The veteran cricketer has done things with precision for South Africa and she is expected to do the same for the Scorchers as well. In the first game, she got out on nine, but had bowling figures of 4-1-18-1. The Heat need to be at their best while countering her.
PUNT PICKS:
Alana King was the player of the match for her extraordinary spell of bowling against the Brisbane Heat. She picked up 4 wickets at an economy of 6 and even made a useful contribution of 12 runs with the bat
