STA: L L NR W W

 Info:

  • Hobart Hurricanes have won 4 of their 6 matches but their batting still looks a bit vulnerable with players like D Arcy Short, Peter Handscomb, and Colin Ingram not in the best of form.
  • Hobart Hurricanes are riding on the performance of their bowlers who’ve been exceptional for them. We expect them to pose a stern challenge to the Stars batsmen.
  • Stars will be without the services of Adam Zampa which is a massive blow to them as he’s a key figure in the Stars bowling lineup. Billy Stanlake, Liam Hatcher, and Nick Maddinson are not very consistent and can leak runs.

 Toss Prediction
Chasing won’t be easy on this wicket thus both skippers would like win the toss and bat first.

 Weather & Pitch Report
β›… Weather:
The weather will be clear with temperatures hovering around 15 degrees.
🏟️ Pitch:
Hobart offers one of the best surfaces to bat in Australia. The ball will come nicely on to the bat and the batsmen will enjoy batting here. In the second innings though, the pitch will get slightly slower which will bring the spinners into play.

 Team NEWS:

 HURRICANES Team News:
Hobart Hurricanes have announced the 17 man squad to take on Melbourne Stars tomorrow. Sandeep Lamichhane who’s finished its quarantine period has been in the squad in place of Keemo Paul.

 STARS Team News:
Adam Zampa was found guilty of the level 1 offence and has been handed a one match ban by Cricket Australia. Zampa has accepted the ban thus won’t be the part of Stars team that’ll take on Hobart Hurricanes in BBL 2020.

 HUR Key Players:

 D’Arcy Short:
D Arcy Short is a very underrated bowler. He’s a very handy spinner and will definitely trouble the Stars. In terms of batting, we all know he’s a top class batter.

 Dawid Malan:
The no 1 T-20 batsmen looked in decent touch in the last match and scored a gritty 39 of 32 deliveries. With some runs behind him now, he’ll be more fluent and we can expect him to perform even better in the next match.

 Ben McDermott:
Ben McDermott has been very consistent for the Hurricanes. He has not got runs in the last two matches but we still feel he’s in very good form and will deliver a solid performance in the next match.

 STA Key Players:

 Marcus Stoinis:
Marcus Stonis looked in top form against Sydney Thunder and played a lot of shots in his brief knock of 27. He’s been in good touch of late and we expect him to play a longer innings in the next match.

 Glenn Maxwell:
Glenn Maxwell too have been brilliant in this BBL 2020-21. He’s one of the main batsmen of the stars and can be backed to come good against the Hurricanes.

 Zahir Khan:
He’s been very economical in all the matches he’s played but hasn’t picked up many wickets. He’s bowling really well though which means the wickets definitely will come his way.

 Team Forms:

 HUR Team Form:
Hobart Hurricanes are having a good tournament with 4 wins in 6 games but there batsmen are not in good form and we don’t know how long they can continue winning without performing well with the bat.

 STA Team Form:
Apart from their last game against Sydney Thunders, Melbourne Stars have generally been very good. They have two wins and two losses in their 5 matches and are settled as the 5th ranked team in the points table.
