 Info:

  • It was no surprise to see Virat Kohli return to form with an unbeaten 73 from 49 balls, alongside debutant Ishan Kishan who made a half-century, India’s batting fired strongly on Sunday. However, KL Rahul’s place at the top of the order must be under threat after returning a combined total of 1 run from the two games.
  • England’s frontline bowlers were impressive with Sam Curran (5.5) and Jofra Archer (6) both returning strong economic rates. However, Kohli, Kishan, and Pant were able to break the shackles by successfully attacking Chris Jordan (13.41), Tom Curran (13), and Ben Stokes (17).
  • Jason Roy continued his impressive batting form in the series, backing up his 49 in the first game with 46 in Sunday’s match.
 Live Streaming
The live streaming of the series will be available on Disney Hotstar.
 TV Channels
The match can be watched live on Star Sports in India and Sky Cricket in the UK.
 Toss Prediction
Both captains have opted to field when winning the toss and gone on to win the game. Expect more the same this time.

 Weather & Pitch Report
⛅ Weather:
It will be sunny again and hotter than on Sunday in Ahmedabad with temperatures peaking at 39 earlier in the day.
🏟️ Pitch:
Very similar to the last game and delivering an increase in totals again as the batsmen have greater trust in the surface.

 Team NEWS:

 INDIA Team News:
KL Rahul’s struggles at the top of the order combined with the end of Rohit Sharma’s rest period will surely see a change at the top of the India batting order. Ishan Kishan hit four sixes on debut and looked at home at international level.

 ENGLAND Team News:
England was timid and sloppy in Sunday’s game and will be keen to bounce back immediately. Jason Roy’s top scores of high 40s are not sufficient and he’ll need someone else to support him with big runs this time around.

 IND Key Players:

 Rohit Sharma:
The opening batsman has more centuries (4) in this format than any other player and is second only to Virat Kohli with 25 half-centuries. His return will be a huge boost to India and a big worry for England.

 Virat Kohli:
India’s captain returned to form on Sunday and now his duck in Friday’s game is long forgotten. We expect Virat to back up his unbeaten 73 with more runs on Tuesday and get the Ahmedabad crowd chanting his name once again.

 Washington Sundar:
Multi-dimensional players are always crucial in the T20 game and Sundar balances India’s side nicely. At only 21 years of age, he already has 28 T20I caps to his name and a long successful international career is expected.

 ENG Key Players:

 Jason Roy:
The opener came into this series on the back of some disappointing returns in white-ball cricket since the 2019 World Cup. However, he is now the man in form with the bat but will be wanting to go beyond 50 and kick on this time.

 Dawid Malan:
Athough he only made 24 on Sunday, the world’s no.1 ranked T20I batsman always manages to contribute to the team total. Coming in at one wicket down, he is able to rebuild from an early wicket before accelerating the run-rate as the innings develop.

 Adil Rashid:
The only spin bowler in England’s line-ups so far in the series, he has taken crucial wickets and broke the Kohli – Kishan partnership on Sunday. He will be looking to reduce his economy rate after almost going at 10 an over in the defeat.

~

 Team Forms:

 IND Team Form:
India ended their short blip of successive defeats in the format in Sunday’s game. Don’t be surprised if they now go on a long unbeaten run.

 ENG Team Form:
England’s run of four successive T20I victories was brought to a screeching halt on Sunday and it will take a real team effort to get on top of a resurgent India in the final three games in the series.

 SQUAD:
