 Series:   2nd ODI Match
Venue:   Civil Service Cricket Club – Belfast, Ireland

 Info:

  • Brendan Taylor is the best batter from Zimbabwe and scored 49 in the first ODI. He is our pick for top batter. Blessing Muzarambani picked up 4 wickets and we are going with him as the best bowler from Zimbabwe.
  • From Ireland, Paul Stirling has been in some good form and is our pick for top batter. With the ball, despite a bad game, Mark Adair remains our preferred pick for top wicket-taker.
  • Ireland have some good hitters in the team thus back them to hit more sixes.

We are not expecting Ireland to make any changes in the squad despite the loss in the first game. Meanwhile, Curtis Campher has pulled out of the series due to an injury.

 ZIM Team News:

The return of big guns immediately paid dividends for Zimbabwe. The visitors should not tinker with the winning combination.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: IRE vs ZIM  ODI Match Fantasy Team
Despite the win, we have few concerns about the consistency of the Zimbabwe team. Ireland have a strong team and are well used to the conditions. We are still backing them to win the match.

 IRE Key Players:

 Andy Balbirnie:

Balbirnie had an off day in the first ODI but he is a very accomplished batter and will be keen to get going in the second ODI. He has all the skills to decimate this Zimbabwe attack.

 Paul Stirling:

Stirling has been in the sizzling form of late. After a satisfactory T20I series, he looked good in the first ODI as well and scored 32. A big score does not seem too far away for Stirling.

 William Porterfield:

The former skipper played a wonderful hand of 75. He is one of the key members of this ODI set-up and will be aiming for another good show in the second game.

 ZIM Key Players:

 Brendan Talor:

Taylor marked his return to the Zimbabwe squad with a quickfire 49. He also was promoted to open the batting. Taylor is one of the best Zimbabwe batters and will be keen to play a bigger knock in the next game.

 Craig Ervine:

After scoring a half-century in the final T20I, Ervine played another brilliant knock of 64. The southpaw is peaking at the right time which is great news for Zimbabwe.

 Sikandar Raza:

Raza too marked his return with a solid 59 off 44 balls. He bowled an economical spell with the ball as well. He is a very handy cricketer to have and adds a lot of depth to the team. Raza will eye another decent outing in the second T20I.

Toss:

 Top Team Batsmens:

Paul Stirling, Harry Tector and William Porterfield are three good picks from Ireland. Porterfield scored 75 in the last game while Tector and Stirling also made good contributions. Brendan Taylor, Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza are the batters we would like to back  as all were brilliant in the last game.

 Top Team Bowlers:

Mark Adair, Andy McBrine and Craig Young are some fine players to be backed. They did have an off day in the first match but are genuine wicket-taking options. Blessing Muzarambani, Sean Williams and Wellington Masakadza are good wicket-taking options for the visitors. Muzarambani picked 4 wickets in the last game while Williams and Masakadza picked two wickets each.
