PAK-W vs IRE-W TEAM NEWS:
PAK-W Team News:
After going 1-0 down in the WT20I series on Saturday, we saw a much more professional performance from Pakistan Women as they levelled the series at 1-1 on Monday. It was a close contest in Lahore and we expect another tight game in the final match.
IRE-W Team News:
In a rain-reduced fixture on Monday, Ireland Women put in another strong performance but were never on top of Pakistan Women throughout the game. They will need one of their players to dominate with the bat or ball in this match if they are to have a chance of winning the series.

After Pakistan Women won the WODI series 3-0, very few observers expected this series to still be undecided ahead of the final match. However, Ireland Women have shown themselves to be far more competitive in this shorter format. Overall, Pakistan Women have stronger batters and bowlers and we are backing them to win this third WT20I.
Pakistan Women are favorites to beat Ireland Women
As expected, opener Javeria Khan returned to form in the second game of the series with 35 runs from 39 balls. Although the likes of Nida Dar (28 runs from 25 balls) and Ayesha Naseem (25 runs from 12 balls) scored at a quicker strike-rate, Khan’s importance to the side at the top of the order was clear.
Nidar Dar was Pakistan Women’s top bowler in the win on Monday and finished with figures of 2-19. She has now taken six wickets in four games against Ireland Women and will be a threat in this match also. Nashra Sandhu is looking for her 10th wicket of Ireland’s tour and the left-arm spinner clearly enjoys bowling at this venue.
Pakistan Women have won three of their last five WT20I fixtures.
Opener Gaby Lewis was unable to follow up her 69 not out from Saturday’s match with another big score and will have been disappointed with her contribution of four runs from 10 balls on Monday. The 21 year old has a top WT20I score of 105 not out and Ireland Women could do with something special from her in this third match of the series.
Arlene Kelly was the only Ireland Women’s bowler to take a wicket in the second WT20I and the 28 year old has now picked up one dismissal in both games of the series. It was an impressive fielding performance from the team who delivered three run-outs in Pakistan Women’s innings in the last match.
Ireland Women have won two and lost two of their last four WT20Is.
