STA vs SIX Tips, Stats & Team for BBL T20 Match Prediction

Match:  STA vs SIX T20 Match Prediction
Time:     15 December, 01:45 PM (IST)

 Series:   BBL T20 Match
Venue:   Melbourne Cricket Ground – Melbourne, Australia

 Info:

  • Glenn Maxwell is yet to find his form with the bat in the BBL but has had a very strong year in other tournaments. We are backing him to be Melbourne Stars’ highest run scorer against Sydney Sixers. With the ball, young medium pacer Brody Couch has 5 wickets in the competition and is our pick for Melbourne Stars highest run scorer in this game.
  • Josh Philippe has hit 2 half-centuries in this season’s BBL already and the keeper-batter is a strong choice for Sydney Sixers’ highest run scorer in this match. Spinner Steve O’Keefe has 5 wickets from three games and is our tip for Sydney Sixers’ top wicket taker against Melbourne Stars.
  • We expect Josh Philippe to contribute with the bat and with the gloves behind the stumps. He is our prediction for the Player of The Match Award.

 Live Streaming:

 Weather & Pitch Report:

⛅ Weather:

The temperature will not go beyond 17 degrees during this match under cloudy skies.

🏟️ Pitch:

The pitch in Melbourne looks like one which will provide plenty of assistance for the spinners. We anticipate a par score to be in the region of 165-170.

 Toss Prediction:

Sydney Sixers are yet to win a toss this season whereas Melbourne Stars have elected to field first the two times they have called correctly. We predict that both skippers will choose to field first.

 Team News:

 STA Team News:

  • All-rounder Andre Russell showed why he is one of the most sought after names in T20 cricket with his big hitting to take the Stars to victory against the Thunder on Monday in BBL 2021. Russell may be a little stiff after his efforts but he will not be rested as he has a short-term contract and is only available for five games. We expect to see the same Stars XI.

 SIX Team News:

  • A couple of bowlers lost their way and not enough batters made significant scores in the defeat for Sydney Sixers against Hobart Hurricanes. Josh Philippe and Moises Henriques maintained their strong batting form but the bowling attack needs to be able to combine tight bowling and wickets in this match. There are no injuries in the squad.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: STA vs SIX BBL T20 Match Team
Melbourne Stars are a far stronger side than when they were beaten by a record score by Sydney Sixers. It has been excellent team performances combined with power hitting from Andre Russell which has improved the team. However, we feel there are more runs in the Sixers’ team and we are backing them to get the victory.

 STA Key Players:

Glenn Maxwell:
The captain of the Melbourne Stars side has not found his stride with the bat yet in the competition. However, he has already picked up 2 wickets.
Andre Russell:
The imposing West Indian all-rounder top scored for the Stars with 42 not out from 21 balls in the most recent win over Sydney Thunder.
Qais Ahmad:
The Afghan leg-spinner took wickets in both games against Sydney Thunder. So far he is outperforming World Cup Winner Adam Zampa in the side.

 SIX Key Players:

Josh Philippe:
The keeper-batter has hit 20 boundaries and 160 runs in the BBL so far. He has also been in excellent form behind the stumps.
Daniel Christian:
The vastly experienced all-rounder has had a slow start to the tournament but is always capable of contributing with either bat or ball.
Steve O’Keefe:
The spinner went wicketless on Saturday but will fancy his chances on the wicket at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

 Team Forms:

 STA Team Form:

  • Two successive wins over Sydney Thunder has put Melbourne Stars back on the map. After a poor season last year they could be about to challenge again.
~

 SIX Team Form:

  • The defeat at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday was Sydney Sixers’ first of the season. We will now see if the wheels will come off or if they can immediately bounce back.
