Series: 1st T20 Match
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium – Abu Dhabi, UAE
UAE vs AFG Dream11 Prediction:
- Whenever UAE went head-to-head with Afghanistan, the battle would mostly end up in a one-sided affair. UAE in the past have been castled by the heroics of Rashid Khan, Dawlat Zadran, Najibullah Zadran and Karim Janat. However, UAE did get lucky on one occasion when their all-time legend Rohan Mustafa stepped up his game with the ball and prevented Afghanistan from getting over the line. UAE will need their senior men to stand up and deliver if they are to cause any sort of upheaval in the Afghanistan dressing room
- Meanwhile Afghanistan would be eager to face off with UAE in their opening game and register a comfortable win and possibly a series victory too. They will appear as the most formidable sides on paper and also on the field and would be looking to play their natural game.
- If we go by the reputation and past head-to-head encounters of both the sides, a win for Afghanistan is certainly a big probability.

Weather & Pitch Report:
The weather forecast for the first game indicates a partially cloudy day with no chances of rain. The temperature is expected to rise to 30 C mark and the humidity rate is expected to hover around 49%.
The brownish tinge pitch with some pockets of grass cover is ideal for batsmen and spin bowlers. Moreover, the wicket is flat and on the slow side, thus constituting a batting paradise. The task in hand for swing bowlers is pretty hard. It is tough to get the bounce due to the absence of grass. With patience and performance, spin bowlers can be a great asset to the team in Test matches.
The surface at Sheikh Zayed stadium has the tendency to aid slow seamers in the initial period but as time progresses, the wicket gets flatter. Hence winning the toss and bowling first would not be a bad idea at all.

An easy win for Afghanistan is surely on the cards and that too by a substantial margin. Although UAE has some added home advantage, we do expect them to put up a fair amount of resistance. But that mere resistance would not be enough to knock the spirited Afghanistan team that has troubled high quality T20 sides in recent times.

In his short career, the 22-year-old has bagged 22 wickets in just 14 matches at a sensational strike rate of 13. He innings of 162* against Ireland is his highest T20 score till date which resulted in an embarrassing loss to Ireland. Besides, his strike rate is round about 140 and maintains a healthy average of 31.19.

With a lethal striker rate of 13.7 and a jaw dropping economy rate of 6.25 RPO, Khan can not only make batters feel uncomfortable at the crease but can also breach the defences of high-quality batters from around the world.
UAE vs AFG Team Form:
UAE Team Form –
UAE have won only 1 out of their last 5 games. Their solo win came against Namibia in the First Round Group A match leading up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
AFG Team Form –
Afghanistan has not won a single game in their last 5 outing and had a very poor T20 world cup campaign down under. However, with so many match winners in their side, we cannot write off Afghanistan as a team and expect them to make a remarkable turnaround.
