ZIM vs BAN Tips, Stats & Team for Today Match Prediction

Match:  ZIM vs BAN Test Match Prediction
Time:   07 July, 01:00 PM (IST)

 Series:: Test Match
Venue:  Queens Sports Club – Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

 Info:

  • Zimbabwe’s captain Sean Williams missed the recent Test series with Pakistan but will be welcomed back into the side for this series. He scored 105 & 151* against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi and is an excellent choice for Zimbabwe’s top run scorer. Blessing Muzarabani is a good tip for Zimbabwe’s leading wicket taker. The fast bowler took 7 wickets in only 2 innings during the series against Pakistan.
  • Left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal is in fine Test batting form for Bangladesh. He averages 73.80 in his last 3 Tests and is a reliable bet for Bangladesh’s top run scorer. With the ball, Taskin Ahmed impressed in tough bowling conditions against Sri Lanka. The fast bowler is a strong option for Bangladesh’s leading wicket taker in this Test.
  • With the gloves, Zimbabwe’s wicket-keeper Regis Chakabva was tidy in the field and also top scored in both innings of the final Test against Pakistan. Liton Das failed with the bat in the second Test against Sri Lanka but that was his first Test in four that he hasn’t scored a half-century. Equally effective glovemen, we would recommend Liton Das as the top wicket-keeper in this Test.
 Live Streaming
Live Streaming: The match can be watched live on Free Sports TV in the UK. Supersport will show live coverage in Zimbabwe. Gazi TV will show the game in Bangladesh.

 Weather & Pitch Report
⛅ Weather:
Highs of 23 on the first two days with some cloud cover. Expect the clouds to disappear with the temperature climbing for days 3, 4 and 5.
🏟️ Pitch:
The pace bowlers dominated the slower bowlers on both sides in the series here against Pakistan. With patient batting, scores of 450+ are well attainable.
 Toss Prediction
During the 2 Tests at this venue earlier this year, both captains won a toss and both chose to bat first. We expect Sean Williams and Mominul Haque to bat if they win the toss.

 Winning Chances:

Who will win today match: ZIM vs BAN T20 Fantasy Team
Both sides could do with a longer series to develop in this format of the game as both are in poor Test match form. Much will depend on who produces the higher first innings score, indeed, batting first should be a big advantage. However, overall we are predicting a win for Bangladesh.

 Team NEWS:

 ZIM Team News:
  • Zimbabwe are rightly putting their faith in experienced batsmen Sean Williams, Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine. If those three can produce significant runs then the youthful bowling attack of Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava will come to the fore.
 BAN Team News:
  • Bangladesh are yet to win a Test this year after back to back defeats to West Indies and a draw and a defeat against Sri Lanka. However, they will fancy their chances against Zimbabwe, particularly as this venue represents the last place they won a Test.

ℹ️ Grand League Team Added in Final Team Section

 Other C & VC Options:

Sean Williams
Tamim Iqbal
Brendan Taylor
Taskin Ahmed

 ZIM Key Players:

 Sean Williams
The captain is in outstanding batting form in Test cricket. He averages 41.36 and has scored centuries in each of his last 3 Tests.

 Brendan Taylor
Only Andy Flower has scored more Test centuries for Zimbabwe than Brendan Taylor. He brings vast experience to the side after making his Test debut in 2004.

 Blessing Muzarabani
The fast bowler stands 2 cm shy of 2 metres and is building a growing reputation across all formats. He was a crucial part of Multan Sultan’s recent PSL title.

 BAN Key Players:

 Tamim Iqbal
At the top of the order, Iqbal comes into this game with 4 half-centuries, including scores of 90 and 92, from his last 3 Tests.

 Shakib Al Hasan
The all-rounder very nearly has a Test batting average of 40 and nearly has a Test bowling average under 30. He is a fine player across all formats.

 Taskin Ahmed
At the age of 26, it is time for Ahmed to start realising his potential in Test cricket. He certainly looked like he was ready to spearhead this attack with his performances against Sri Lanka in April and May.

 Team Forms:

 ZIM Team Form:
  • Zimbabwe have won only 1 of their last 8 Tests but, by playing more games over the past 18 months, are starting to show encouraging signs.
 BAN Team Form:
  • Winless across 4 Tests in 2021, you have to go back 17 months for their last Test victory. They have the players but don’t have recent results.
